Katie, a Wisconsin native, moved to the Twin Cities when she began college and lived there till summer of 2016 when she married her love in June. Then she moved to Southwest Minnesota to join Andy, her husband in the town of Slayton! At 25, she began pursuing photography with the dream of starting her own business. After saving up her pennies and buying a professional grade camera, Katie began pursuing clients and gaining the experience needed to launch a successful photography business. In 2011, Katie K Photography was launched. It has continued to grow and her love for this line of work has grown with it. In addition to being a professional photographer, she also works in her other passions, children and church ministry.
During time she finds free (a rarity these days!) she loves to craft, sew, hiking, watch movies, go on adventures throughout the cities (and world!) dance and spending time with her husband. She's been to Ukraine, Guatemala, Mexico, Australia, Finland, all over the continental U.S. and is excited for more adventures to come. She treasures her friendships dearly and delights in the relationships she gets to build with new and previously acquainted clients.
